Multicultural Student Organization

The Multicultural Student Organization (MSO) is a student-led group that emphasizes inclusive engagement and understanding among students from various backgrounds. Our mission is to foster a welcoming campus atmosphere where every student, irrespective of their cultural or ethnic background, feels valued and included.

The Multicultural Student Organization is committed to providing a space where students can engage in respectful dialogue and activities that enhance mutual understanding and respect. We believe in the power of collaboration to enrich the campus experience for all students.

Membership in the Multicultural Student Organization is open to all Hawkeye students who are dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment. Our activities and discussions aim to broaden cultural perspectives and contribute positively to both the campus and the wider community. Through our efforts, we seek to promote unity and collective growth at Hawkeye College.

Goals

• Be positive role models for the campus community.
• Be interactive with school children of all ages.
• Provide a positive link for incoming students.
• Increase the GPA and retention rates on campus.
• Provide awareness on campus of the many challenges college students from historically marginalized populations are facing.
• Energize the student body by providing a forum for students to exercise their voice.

• Be involved in the community through civic participation.

Membership

Membership is free and open to all Hawkeye Community College students.
