Bill Colwell Ford in Hudson is the first area dealership to become a Key Partner with the Automotive Technology program at Hawkeye Community College.

Established by program instructors Brian Thomas and Gerrot Jacobson, the program is designed to build relationships with local car dealerships and provide vehicles for demonstration and teaching in the Automotive Technology program.

The 2009 Chevy Traverse donated by Bill Colwell Ford will help students gain hands-on skills in vehicle repair and prepare them to enter the workforce.

Handing off the keys were David Todd, Lavern Tradel, Bill Colwell, and Blake Colwell of Bill Colwell Ford. For more information on becoming a Key Partner, or other ways to support student success, contact the Hawkeye Community College Foundation at 319-296-4002.
