The Hawkeye Trapshooting Team completed the fall 2014 schedule on November 15 at the Warren County Izaak Walton League in Indianola. The meet was hosted by Simpson College and included teams from Simpson, Iowa Central Community College, Southwestern Community College and Hawkeye. There were 41 athletes participating.

Hawkeye shooter Brandon Wilmert, a student in the CNC Machining and Tool-Making Technology program, earned a score of 49/50, which placed him in a tie for first place. Wilmert participated in a shoot-off with two others and ended the day second place overall.

This was only the second meet the Hawkeye Trapshooting Team has been involved with since the team was formed this fall. The first meet was held October 25 at Southwestern Community College in Osceola. Hawkeye placed third at that meet. The team will be on break until February.
