Children are welcome at Hawkeye Community College in appropriate situations and while actively supervised by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult. Due to safety and liability concerns, under no circumstances may children be unsupervised on the College properties, this includes but not limited to roaming, playing, and or occupying campus grounds or buildings.
It is the responsibility of the individual bringing the children into the college property to take reasonable steps to safeguard the health and safety of the children in their care while on the college property. Further, coming into a college environment involves risks and it is the responsibility of the individual bringing the children into the college property to take reasonable steps to safeguard against those risks.
