Wes Grapp worked assembly at John Deere for more than a decade before he decided to change careers and pursue something that aligned with his passions.

“Physical fitness has always been a passion of mine, and then coaching and just helping people,” he said. He learned about Hawkeye’s Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program, and after speaking with program instructor Melissa Schneider decided to enroll.

“The people I’ve talked to who have gone to Hawkeye, they all had great things to say about the program,” he said. “It was an easy choice for me.”

His first clinical rotation was at Agape Therapy, and after graduation he’s already secured a full-time job there.

“Because of Hawkeye, I have been able to choose a career that I’m passionate about,” he said. “I’m excited to show up to work every day.”
