Make-Up Testing Center

The Make-Up Testing Center is for Hawkeye students who are unable to take an exam during their scheduled class time and have made arrangements with their instructor. Additionally, students with accommodations may take their exams through the Make-Up Testing Center. Please contact the Making-Up Testing Center to schedule an appointment.

Make-Up Testing Center Policies

  • Wearing a face covering and practicing physical distancing are required. 

  • Clear, valid photo identification is required each time a test is taken. Examples of approved ID include:

    • Hawkeye Card student ID
    • Non-expired Government issued ID (Driver's license or passport)
  • Make-Up Testing Center staff will follow the instructor's specific testing instructions attached to the test. You should contact your instructors prior to your testing time to be certain of the materials that are allowed into the testing room and to be clear on all testing guidelines and instructions.

  • You are responsible to provide any materials needed for testing such as calculators, pencils, etc. Make-Up Testing Center staff will provide all scratch paper.

  • You cannot take outerwear (coats, hats, mittens, etc.), cell phones, backpacks, purses, watches, activity trackers, and like accessories into the testing rooms. Lockers with padlocks are available. Be prepared to empty pockets and show wrists and ankles before going into the testing lab.

  • Appointments may be required for some accommodations and should be made 24 hours in advance.

  • If you are caught cheating your instructor will be immediately notified.

  • Children are not allowed in the Make-Up Testing Center.

These guidelines and procedures are in place to:

  • Provide students with appropriate accommodations and testing environments.
  • Give staff ample time to make appropriate arrangements for testing.
  • Assure instructors that tests are secure and testers are well monitored.
