Tuition Refund Policy for Credit Classes

For a full refund of tuition and fees you must complete the official withdrawal process to reduce your credit hours or completely withdraw from Hawkeye by the Tuition Refund deadline.

Deadline to Officially Withdraw and Receive a Refund
All Classes Any time before the start of the session.
16-week session By 11:59pm of the 14th calendar day of the session.
12-week session By 11:59pm of the 10th calendar day of the session.
10-week session By 11:59pm of the 8th calendar day of the session.
8-week session By 11:59pm of the 7th calendar day of the session.
6-week session By 11:59pm of the 5th calendar day of the session.
5-week session By 11:59pm of the 4th calendar day of the session.
4-week session By 11:59pm of the 3rd calendar day of the session.
Minimesters By 11:59pm of the first day of the Minimester.

You may appeal a refund decision by submitting a written request to the Financial Policy Waiver Committee.
