Our training programs will have you ready to begin a new career in the transportation or construction industry fast. You'll acquire new skills and gain a solid foundation in safety standards, preventative maintenance, pre-operation inspections, and proper equipment operation.

All training sessions combine classroom and hands-on training so you'll be prepared with practical applications that you will use everyday on the job. 

Hawkeye is an approved entry-level driver training provider and is also authorized to administer the DOT knowledge and driving skills tests required for commercial learner's permits, commercial driver's license, and CDL endorsements. Bus Driver Training

Learn how to operate a commercial bus or school bus in two weeks! Before beginning this program you must have your bus driving permit, which will allow you to drive on the roadway.

Cost: $999

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 2:30pm for two weeks

Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Certificate

This competency-based program allows you to progress as you master the content. You'll focus on developing safe driving skills in backing, turning, and driving on rural and suburban roads.

Cost: $4,995. A variety of tuition assistance options are available.

Schedule: Class meets daily with varied class times. You choose the time(s) that work best for your schedule.

  • Morning 8:00am – 12:00pm
  • Afternoon 1:00 – 5:00pm
  • Evening 5:00 – 9:00pm

Backhoe

Heavy Equipment: Backhoe Operator Training

Learn how to operate a backhoe in four days! Your new or enhanced skills will serve you well whether on a construction site, highway maintenance, or even mining. No admission requirements or entrance exam needed.

Schedule: Monday – Thursday from 8:00am – 5:00pm
