JOB SUMMARY: This individual verifies and provides follow-up to students regarding their application status, admissions inquiries and requirements via phone, email, etc. Coordinates and supports prospective student campus visits, including individual student visits and campus visit programs. Actively recruits prospective students through on-site visits, phone, and social media. Visits and supports agencies/organizations to update their staff and clients on opportunities at Hawkeye. Utilizes Recruit CRM to contact and track prospective students Assists the Director with on-campus activities and organizations that support enrollment growth. Develops and maintains strong relationships with high school students, counselors and other professional staff. Uses good judgment, tact, and courtesy when dealing with the public and employees. Attends college fairs and other promotional events. Works evenings and weekends, as needed. Attends professional development meetings as needed. Performs other professional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s degree in communications, social sciences, business, education, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with diverse populations and the general public. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must possess strong human relations skills. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word. Ability to provide excellent customer service. Must be insurable (automobile). Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be detail oriented. Preferences include Community College education and/or work experience; experience with a higher education management software, such as Datatel, Banner, Customer relationship management (CRM), or Jenzabar; and experience working with secondary/post-secondary faculty, staff, and students.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS:  Full time position opening with a comprehensive benefits program including health, dental, vision, life, and LTD insurance; a Section 125 plan for medical and dependent care expense; holiday, personal, sick, and vacation leave; and a choice of retirement programs--IPERS (defined benefit) or TIAA (defined contribution).  Salary will be commensurate with the applicant’s education and experience.
