My passion for working with students began while I was completing my bachelor’s degree in business administration and working as a tutor in the work study program. After graduating with my undergraduate degree, I obtained a position at the university where I was able to continue working with students and went on to complete my Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree.
After graduating with my MBA degree, I decided to leave the higher education field for a short time, but it didn’t take long before I knew I had to return and get back to what made me happy. It brings me great joy to have the ability to assist students with navigating through their educational journey. One of my greatest strengths is being a learner and I am always looking for ways to increase my knowledge and strengthen my ability to assist students which lead me to complete my second Masters degree in Higher Education.
I was a first-generation college student so I know first hand how difficult it can be to find the resources needed to be successful. I am proof that anyone can accomplish success as long as you surround yourself with all the right people. I am excited to be at Hawkeye and have the opportunity to be a part of your team to help you accomplish your education goals.
