This course is an introduction to the fundamental principles of electronic motor drive technologies. Topics to be presented will include variable frequency drive theory, encoders, and tachometers closed loop feedback methods. We will review drive and motor installation requirements, drive braking methods, line and load reactor applications, drive configuration considerations and drive power requirements. Hands on drive programming and testing with Various 3 phase Variable Frequency Drives and motors. This class is part of the Industrial Maintenance program.
