Map and Directions

Hawkeye's Driver Education Program is designed to help beginner drivers develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to become safe, responsible drivers. We provide 30 hours of classroom instruction and six hours of behind the wheel instruction. This program meets the requirement of the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) Motor Vehicles Division (DMV) for teenagers to obtain the graduated driver's license (GDL). Your child will be required to be proficient in their driving at the end of our course or they will be requested to drive with the DOT to get their license. Students must have the ability to schedule week-end driving time and bring their permit to every class. Must have a minimum of 10 hours of driving time before the class begins. Attendance is required for ALL sessions. No exceptions. Students must have an Iowa driver's permit before the first class. Fee can be waived or reduced for students who qualify in the Waterloo Community School District. If your child needs special accommodations, you need to talk to Tiffany Dodd 319-296-4014 prior to the start of the class.

Pre-registration required.
