Senior Dental Hygiene and Dental Assistant students from Hawkeye Community College will present clinical topics to licensees (area dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants) via table clinic format. Attendees will receive 2 CEU's credit upon completion. Topics covered will also be graded by department faculty and will be a requirement for Dental Hygiene and Dental Assistant program students' classroom competencies. All topics will be pre-approved by Hawkeye Community College Dental Department. Students will also use these presentations to compete in the Iowa Dental Hygienists' Association Clinical Student Presentations at IDHA 2021 Annual Session. Approved by the Iowa Dental Board.
