Free Counseling and Medical Care for Students

Whether you're sick, managing a long-term health issue, or trying to live a healthier lifestyle, we're here to help. Our goal is to give students access to health care and counseling services to support your success at Hawkeye Community College.

Our team includes a nurse practitioner and a licensed mental health counselor. We understand the different needs of college students and are here to help you with them.

Services Available

Services are available at no cost to actively enrolled students as a benefit included in their tuition. Appointments are preferred and encouraged. Same day appointments for medical needs are often available and walk-in medical needs are seen as the schedule allows.

Appointments: What to Know Before You Go

Relax, Unwind, Destress Hawk's Haven

Hawk's Haven is a quiet space on campus where students can relax and take a break. The room has a massage chair and other stress-relieving activities like puzzles, coloring, fidget toys, aromatherapy, and a yoga mat. Contact the Student Health Clinic to make an appointment. Walk-in appointments allowed if available.
