Computers for Student Use
Kiosks
Kiosks are conveniently placed throughout main campus for students to check My Hawkeye, their email, Canvas, or do a quick Internet search. Some kiosks also have printers.
Student Tutoring and Computer Lab
The Student Tutoring and Computer lab offers current Hawkeye students access to more than 80 computers, scanners, printers, and a wide variety of software applications used to support the many academic program areas across campus. It is not open to the public.
Computers are available on a first-come basis. Computer lab coordinators are available to assist you with your computer software related questions.
Workstations and study tables are also available for students who bring in laptops.
The Student Tutoring and Computer Lab is not always a quiet environment. Students are encouraged to use the Library if they need a quiet environment to work and study.

Library Computers
The Hawkeye Library has 36 PC computers for student, staff, and public use. The computers provide access to the Library’s online resources, Microsoft Office, and Internet searching.
There are three black-and-white printers available for use from the library PCs and wireless laptops. The printer defaults to double-sided printing, but library users can change the setting when single-sided printing is needed.
Students and staff can check out wireless laptops for use in the Library or check out laptops for home use to continue their research and assignments at home.
Program Specific Computer Labs
Some programs also have a dedicated computer lab. Computers in dedicated computer labs have the specific software needed for students in these programs to be successful.
