The Club for Dental Assisting Students

Student American Dental Assistant Association (SADAA) is a student club for Dental Assisting program students to become oriented to the dental assisting profession and professional community.

SADAA has been actively involved in community service, including making care and hygiene kits for House of Hope. The club is currently working on designing t-shirts, preparing for research projects and presentations, and will be collaborating with SADHA again for a dental community research night. Providing continuing education to our local dental offices.

Collaborations have occurred with the Respiratory Care Club, Physical Therapy Association Club, and Student American Dental Hygienists Association (SADHA).

Service projects have been making cards and May Day Baskets for nursing and rehabilitation homes.

SADAA participated in making care and hygiene kits for House of Hope as well as partnering with SADHA on making oral hygiene care packages. The club is currently working on designing t-shirts, preparing for research projects/presentations, and will be collaborating with the SADHA club again on a dental community research night. The club is also planning to visit the Hawkeye Child Care Center for Children's Dental Health month.

Make a Difference with Give Kids a Smile

As a Dental Assisting or Dental Hygiene student, you’ll join your classmates in Give Kids a Smile, a free dental clinic where you’ll use your skills to bring care, confidence, and healthy smiles to children and teens 18 and under. You’ll work side by side with Kimball & Beecher Family Dentistry and I-Smile Public Health to serve families and support our community. This is your chance to put your training into action, make connections, and truly make a difference by helping kids receive quality dental care at no cost.

Whitening Kit Fundraiser

The Student American Dental Assistant Association (SADAA) Club is selling professional Opalescence whitening kits for just $50 each. Each kit includes 10 take-home whitening trays you can use in the comfort of your own home. Proceeds support SADAA's community outreach and the Dental Assisting program—helping fund projects like providing oral hygiene kits to the House of Hope, giving women and children the tools they need for healthier smiles. It's a great way to brighten your own smile while helping make a difference for others.
