Real-World Experience Behind the Camera

The photography club is a community of Hawkeye students that work together to provide real-world photographic experiences for individuals, groups, or other organizations.

What We Do

  • Create photography projects with individuals or groups in need of good quality photography.
  • Travel and experience other forms of art and photography in and outside of the Cedar Valley area.
  • Volunteer time to local organizations and events in the Cedar Valley to create long-lasting memories for everyone involved.

Photo Opportunities

  • Holiday Photos: During various holiday months, photo club individually or with other clubs come together to create photo opportunities for the holidays!
  • Headshots: The photo club sets a date for a studio in Black Hawk Hall to be open for all Hawkeye students looking to get a professional headshot done.
  • Membership: Members are generally a part of the Professional Photography program, but the club is open to any student on campus. All you need is a willingness to help others, work hard, and have an interest in photography.
