Pharmacy Technician Short-Term Training

This short-term Pharmacy Technician program prepares students to be a professional pharmacy technician under the supervision of a certified pharmacist. Pharmacy Technicians play an integral role in supporting pharmacists and providing safe and effective care to patients across pharmacy settings.

In this course you will learn:

  • To assist the pharmacist filling prescriptions according to doctor’s orders
  • How to order products and maintain inventory
  • How to bill and receive payments

This PTCB-recognized education program includes 112 hours of instruction. Additionally, you will be expected to spend four or more hours per week on online coursework.

Upon successful course completion you'll be eligible to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam.

Career Opportunities

Individuals completing the non-credit certificate may find employment as pharmacy technicians.
