About Me

My vocational training as a graphic designer and photographer took place at Des Moines Tech, where I graduated in 1967. My college degrees are from the University of New Mexico, in Printmaking, Painting, and Art History. My career as a professional artist, primarily as an illustrator, spans over 40 years. I have taught at the Universities of New Mexico and Northern Iowa, as well as Hawkeye Community College. I still work as a professional freelance artist and as a painter.

In addition to teaching at Hawkeye, I am also the Faculty Advisor for the Arts & Literature, Etc. student club, Hawkeye's literary and art magazine, co-chair of Hawkeye's Honors Program, and Member of the Hawkeye Wellness Committee.
