JOU-115 Introduction to Journalism

3 credits—Introduction to Journalism is an overview of the profession. This course will examine the origins and evolution of journalistic principles, including legal and ethical considerations, the role of the free press, and the contemporary state of journalism. This course will also distinguish the unique aspects of writing and publication design in this genre.
