1 credits—This course provides students with information required to understand industrial safety issues and procedures. Studies include job hazard awareness, lock-out/tag-out, egress, fire extinguishers, OSHA 10, material handling, and Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (SDS Sheets).

IND-153 Industrial Mechanics

3 credits—This course will introduce the skills necessary to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical power systems, such as mechanical power transmissions systems, couplings and shafts, lubrication on these systems, maintenance and installation of seals and gaskets, and installation and adjustment of clutches and brakes.
