What is TRiO?

TRiO is a federally funded program through the U.S. Department of Education that provides program participants with intensive instructional support and peer-tutoring to succeed in college.

TRiO's Goal

The goal of the TRiO program is to assist Hawkeye students with personal and career development and prepare Hawkeye students to transfer successfully to four-year institutions.

Am I Eligible for TRiO?

To be eligible for TRiO you must meet one or more of the following requirements.

  • First generation college student
  • Learning and/or physically disabled
  • Meet income guidelines

How do I Apply for TRiO?

TRiO applications are accepted throughout the year. Interested students can apply online or pick-up an application in Bremer Hall, Room 120.
