What are the Student Health Clinic hours?

Monday through Friday, 8:30a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Not all services are available every day during these times. Please call ahead for scheduling details.

Who can use the Student Health Clinic?

Any student and their dependent children can use the Student Health Clinic. Spouses may only use the Student Health Clinic for family therapy when their involvement is necessary to the treatment of the student.

Is there a fee to use the Student Health Clinic?

Services at the Student Health Clinic are offered at no charge with the exception of some immunizations and women's health services if grant funding is not available.

Will the Student Health Clinic bill my insurance if I have it?

Yes, if your insurance carrier has accepted the Black Hawk County Health Department or Allen Women's Health as a qualified provider.

I'm covered under my parent's insurance. Will that be billed?

Yes, for some services, if the providers are qualified under your parent's insurance carrier's plan.

Will there be a patient co-pay when my insurance is billed?

Some services may require you to pay the co-pay. Please ask to determine which services require a co-pay.

Can I use the Student Health Clinic if I have no insurance?

Yes, any Hawkeye student and their dependent children can use the Student Health Clinic.

What types of services are provided at the Student Health Clinic?

Do I need to make an appointment, or can I just walk in?

Not all services are provided every day, so scheduling an appointment in advance is encouraged. We will try to assist you if you do walk in. Please bring your student ID and these completed forms when visiting the Student Health Clinic. If you have insurance, please be sure to bring your insurance card.
