• This is a 55-hour course taught on weekends - "Power Weekends".
• Classes are held on September 12-14, 2008 & September 26-28, 2008 at
  Hawkeye Community College
  Main Campus - Tama Hall
• Friday hours are 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
• Saturday and Sunday hours are 8:00 a.m. – 8:15 p.m. with two half-hour breaks.
• Both weekends are required for the course.
• Cost: $345

Applying for your Coaching License

With successful completion of the coaching authorization classes, you can apply to the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners for a coaching license.

1. Submit a check to The State of Iowa for $137 for the license and the cost of a background investigation.
2. The Iowa Board of Educational Examiners will send you a temporary license within 2 - 3 weeks of receiving your application.
3. After the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation background check is completed and if all is well, you will receive your permanent license. Please allow 6-8 weeks to receive your permanent license.
