Minimesters area shortened and intense period of class instruction offered between semesters. Minimesters have the same amount of credits and materials as other semesters.
There are two minimester sessions. One is during Winter Break (December & January) which is part of the spring term. The other is during May which is part of the summer term.

Shortly after registering for a Minimester class the Hawkeye Business Office will send you a Tuition & Fees bill. Your exact due date will be listed on the bill.
Since a Minimester is associated with the next term, if you are a current Hawkeye student, your financial aid will be applied to your bill during the next term on the usual set disbursement dates.
If you are a current Hawkeye student, the Business Office will do a Tuition & Fees Agreement so you can wait to pay your bill using the next term’s financial aid. You must go to the Business Office to do this before the due date of the bill. If you have not yet been awarded financial aid, you will need to pay the bill yourself by the due date on the invoice.
You will need to pay for your own books from the Hawkeye Bookstore. Book prices are listed on the internet: www.hawkeyebookstore.com.
You will need to pay your Hawkeye Tuition & Fees by the due date listed on the bill. Hopefully, you may use any financial aid refund from your home college to reimburse yourself.
If you attend one day, you will be responsible to pay your total Tuition & Fees for the class.
