Books, Videos, & Encyclopedias

From the links below you may access numerous online resources, including the library’s catalog, general and subject specific encyclopedias, our new Multicultural and Women’s Resource Centers, and lists of print books and videos recently added to the library’s collection.

• Books & Videos

  The library’s online book and video catalog, thousands of e-books, and access to Books in Print are available around the clock from any Internet connected computer. Access to netLibrary and Books in Print require login with your Hawkeye Community College network username and password.

• Encyclopedias

  Whether you need general background information or subject specific reference material, the library’s online encyclopedias are available from any computer with Internet access. Off campus access requires logging in with your Hawkeye Community College network username and password.

• Reference Resource Databases

  Additional online library resources are provided that include subject specific topics as well as general reference sources.

• Multicultural Resource Center

  Identifies library resources on a wide variety of topics about ethnic groups in the United States.

• Women’s Studies Resource Center

  Identifies library resources on a wide variety of topics about women and women’s issues.
