The library’s online book and video catalog, thousands of e-books, and access to Books in Print are available around the clock from any Internet connected computer. Access to netLibrary and Books in Print require login with your Hawkeye Community College network username and password.

  • Hawkeye Book & Video Catalog

    Hawkeye Community College Library is a member of the Cedar Valley Library Consortium. These libraries share a single catalog of their books and videos. The catalog can be searched as a comprehensive listing of the libraries' joint collections, or it can be searched by individual library name. No user name or password is required.

  • WPL@HCC

    Use the Hawkeye Book and Video Catalog to identify fiction books in the new WPL@HCC collection. Search for Author or Title using the drop-down options on the search screen.

    Books from this collection, which is located at the Hawkeye library, are provided by the Waterloo Public Library (WPL). WPL cards are required for check out. If you have not previously received a WPL card, the Hawkeye library staff can issue one to you. New materials will continue to be added to this collection, so check the online catalog or stop in to browse the shelves periodically.

    The Hawkeye Community College library provides access to over 40,000 online books via ebrary. Topic areas include business and economics, computers and IT, education, engineering and technology, health and clinical sciences, history, humanities, life and physical sciences, and social and behavioral sciences.

  • netLibrary Electronic Books

    Hawkeye Community College's eBook collection includes over 4,300 copyrighted titles and approximately 4,000 public domain titles. Users may view eBooks for a brief period or check them out for a three-day period by setting up a User Account from a computer in the college's network. Off campus use requires Hawkeye network user ID and password.

    This database can be used to identify books and videos not owned by the Hawkeye Community College Library. Many of the book titles may be borrowed from other libraries via interlibrary loan. If you would like to borrow a book from another library, please use the online form. Off campus use requires Hawkeye network user ID and password.

  • OCLC FirstSearch World Cat

    WorldCat lists books and other materials found in thousands of libraries worldwide. It includes descriptions of materials dating from before 1000 B.C. to the present. It is often used to identify resources to request via interlibrary loan. Off campus use requires Hawkeye network user ID and password.
