For those Hawkeye Community College International students wishing to enroll part-time at Hawkeye Community College and part-time at another accredited postsecondary institution please review the following policy.

Students holding active F-1 immigration status shall be permitted to register simultaneously at Hawkeye Community College and another accredited postsecondary institution; provided that enrollment at both institutions can be combined to meet or exceed the criteria for full-time enrollment. This is consistent with Title 8 of the Code of Federal Regulations, section 214.2(f)(6)(iv).

For students whose SEVIS records are controlled by Hawkeye Community College, a copy of the student's schedule at any other institution must be presented to the International Student Services Coordinator within three calendar weeks of the first day of a regular Fall or Spring semester. This schedule must be signed by a Designated School Official from the secondary institution. The student will be reminded of his or her responsibility to maintain a full course of study and will be warned that any unreported change in registration at the secondary institution could have serious, negative repercussions on the student's future academic and professional careers.

Upon receipt of proof of concurrent enrollment, the student shall be "registered" in SEVIS and the document shall be filed in the student's permanent immigration file.
