High School Students

PSEO (Post-Secondary Enrollment Options Act)

PSEO is designed for you to earn college credit while in high school. PSEO is for 11th and 12th grade students who have not met their graduation requirements. Talented and gifted students in 9th and 10th grade may also be eligible. You will earn both high school and college credit for the courses taken and either you high school or school district will pay for the cost of tuition, textbooks, materials, and fees. Learn more about PSEO.

Contracted Courses

A contracted course is just like a course offered on the Hawkeye campus, but it is offered at your high school. Even though the course is at your high school, any Hawkeye student may take the class. As long as your high school requirements are met you may take any contracted course offered by your high school. Taking a contracted course allows you to earn both high school and college credit for successfully completed courses and your high school pays for the cost of tuition and textbooks. Learn more about Contracted Courses.

Dual Enrollment

If you are in 11th or 12th grade and have not met your graduation requirements, you are eligible for dual enrollment. Talented and gifted students in 9th and 10th grade may also be eligible. You must meet Hawkeye's admission requirements before taking classes. If you are dual enrolled you will earn both high school and college credit for the courses taken. You or your family will be responsible for all costs associated with the courses. Learn more about Dual Enrollment.
