A group of nursing students traveled to the Capitol on April 1, 2009. Several student ambassadors and student senators went to Des Moines on April 8, 2009. Students visited with legislators on the the needs of community colleges.
A group of six Hawkeye Community College Students traveled to Des Moines on January 28-29, 2009, to the Annual IACCT Legislative Conference. The students met with many area and state legislators to discuss issues pertaining to them and to our community colleges. Photo at the right.
