Liberty Bank has donated $10,000 to Hawkeye Community College Foundation. The Foundation supports the education and development needs of Hawkeye Community College students, faculty and staff by providing resources not available through public funds.
"We are proud to partner with Hawkeye Community College," Liberty Bank Market President John Rathjen said. "Their dedication to offering innovative educational tools and programs is instrumental to the success of our future workforce and our community."
The Hawkeye Community College Foundation exists to help the College meet its commitment to provide educational opportunities to all segments of the community. With the generous support of private donors, the Foundation can fund scholarships, purchase equipment, offer educational opportunities outside of the classroom and many other support services.
"We commend Liberty Bank's commitment to initiatives that promote economic and community development," Hawkeye Community College Foundation Executive Director Peg Brown said. "These funds will be used to upgrade advanced instructional equipment for programs in high-demand fields. We appreciate Liberty Bank's support and its recognition that students must have access to specialized equipment that meets future needs."
