Professional Development

The Brobst Center supports all HCC faculty—from the aspiring to the retiring--in developing talents and skills for designing and delivering instruction that is consistent with the college’s commitment to excellence in teaching for learning.

In accordance with best practices in professional development, we offer faculty the choice of using professional learning communities (which allows them to direct their own professional development over time) as well as traditional workshops and/or college-credit courses. In addition, the Brobst Center offers a strong mentoring and induction program, and support for adjunct faculty.
