Monthly Tip

Save as Office 2003

You can save your Word 2007 and Excel 2007 files in the older format for users with Office 2003. From the Office Button > Save As > Select Excel 97-2003 or Word 97-2003.

Hawkeye’s spring 2010 electrical night classes are approved by the State of Iowa electrical Examining Board to provide continuing education credit for Iowa Licensed Master/Journeyman Electricians.

Plumbing & HVAC Apprenticeship

Plumbing and HVAC courses are being offered for area apprentices. To assist with new State of Iowa licensing requirements, Hawkeye will offer written assessment to place new Plumbing and HVAC apprentices in the appropriate level of apprenticeship coursework. Administrative Support Professional Certificate

This certificate program is designed for individuals working in the field of administrative support. The certificate includes 40 hours of Microsoft computer skills and 20 hours in the areas of professionalism and interpersonal skills, customer service communication, business writing, and organization management. Classes in the series may be taken individually.

Certificate Cost: $995 (12 classes) - Save nearly $200!

COMPUTER & SOFTWARE TRAINING

Register for one of our many computer classes - Microsoft Office 2003, Microsoft Office 2007, Adobe Creative Suite 4, and web education classes are available. You’ll learn many of the great features and functions these popular software programs have to offer. Classes are geared for a variety of skill levels. Knowledgeable instructors offer detailed instructions and hands-on learning.

Classes are held at the Hawkeye Technology Access Center.
