Cedar Valley Manufacturing Conference

The Future of Manufacturing

When thinking about tomorrow’s business, can you relate to Bob Dylan’s song “The Times They Are A Changin”? This conference recognizes that the times are indeed changing rapidly and any insight into how to continue moving forward is worth hearing.  The conference keynote is Kit Welchlin and he will speak on Workforce 2020 and give insight on how you can prepare your workplace for the next generation of employees. Kit purchased his first manufacturing company at age 21 and by 26 was CEO and Chairman of the Board of three manufacturing companies in three states.

Other great features to the morning will include a presentation by the Cedar Valley Regional Partners as they  share economic development updates. The Waterloo and Cedar Falls Community Schools will have a teacher and student panel to spotlight, discuss, and answer questions about CTE and CAPS programs. In addition, two afternoon break out sessions will be available - CIRAS will present an overview of 12 topics impacting The Future of Manufacturing and Elevate Iowa will offer Ambassador Training.

You may not leave with a crystal ball but you will leave with great insight into considerations of what the future of manufacturing holds for your business and insight into what it takes to successfully move forward!
