Hawkeye Board Seat to be Filled by Appointment

WATERLOO, Iowa --- Hawkeye Community College's board of trustees is appointing a trustee replacement for District 5 at its July 26 board meeting. Trustee Ruth Cunningham died June 29. By state law, the representative of a district must live within it.
Application letters with detailed information on qualifications should be sent by Monday at 4:30 p.m. to Denise Dunn, board secretary, Hawkeye Community College, PO Box 8015, Waterloo IA 50704-8015.
Applicants will interview with the board of trustees during the week of July 18 and should be prepared to make a statement on how they are qualified for the position.
Director District 5 includes the position of the Waterloo School District that lies within portions of the city's first, third and fourth and fifth wards. This district includes but is not limited to the following areas: Gates Park, Red Carpet Supper Club, Lowell Elementary School, Elmwood Cemetery, Hope Martin Memorial Park, Valley View Park and Central Middle School.
Hawkeye's nine-member board meets on the school's main campus the fourth Tuesday of each month except in December. Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier |
