My name is James, and I went to school at Union High in La Porte City. I graduated in 2000 and this is my second year at Hawkeye. I worked full time for 7 years before deciding to go back to school full time. I am completing my degree in Police Science here and am not sure if I will transfer to a four year school when I am done, but so far I plan on it. I am the Communications Leader for the Student Ambassadors. I am responsible for emailing and updating the group about all our events. Hawkeye has provided me with many opportunities to grow and learn as an individual and as part of a team. I love to meet new people and be involved with school activities.
Hey, my name is Kendra. I am from Oskaloosa, Iowa and was home schooled through high school. This is my second year at Hawkeye, and I am in the Business Administration program. After Hawkeye I will transfer to UNI and major in Marketing. Hawkeye has offered great opportunities for me to grow and learn with such a helpful, friendly, and fun environment. I am the Recruitment Leader for Student Ambassadors. I will help new ambassadors learn more about Hawkeye and encourage students to join the Student Ambassadors. It’s a blast you don’t want to miss out on. Come join us!
Hey, my name is Heidi! I graduated from Dike- New Hartford High School in 2007. I am a Professional Photography Major going into Portrait and Photojournalism. Hawkeye's professional photography program is known as one of the best in the mid-west, which as far as I can see is due to experienced and personable instructors who really have a passion for turning novices into professionals. Being a student ambassador has taught me a lot about everything that Hawkeye has to offer its students; from helping them be as successful as possible in their education to helping them relax and enjoy their time here at this school. It has also been a wonderful opportunity to meet many people around campus and create new friendships. My job as a the social leader is to keep spirits high among the ambassadors by creating fun and informative activities for our meetings, planning holiday parties and other member events, as well as the end of the year trip. Look into becoming a student ambassador today!
