To Make an Appointment

1. Register, schedule, and pay for the exam online at www.ase.com.
2. Contact the Testing Center to confirm your appointment, especially if you scheduled it within the last 24 hours before your test date.

What to Bring to the ASE Test

When you arrive at the Testing Center on test day, make sure you have:

• Your ASE ID from your online registration (e.g., ASE-1234-5678)
• A non-expired government-issued photo ID with your signature.

Hawkeye Community College is authorized by the Iowa Board of Dental Examiners to administer certification exams for:

• Dental Jurisprudence
• Dental Hygiene Jurisprudence
• Dental Assistant Radiography/Radiology
• Dental Assistant Infection Control/Hazardous Materials
• Dental Assistant Jurisprudence

Allotted exam Time: 60 minutes per exam

Cost: $20 per test.

Registering for Your Exam

Dental exams are by appointment only, and you’ll need to register in advance. Here’s how:

1. Call the Testing Center at 319-296-4318 to schedule an appointment.
2. Contact the Business Office to pay the proctor fee. Be sure to keep your receipt, as you’ll need it on the day of your exam.

ETS (Educational Testing Service) assessments are commonly used for educational purposes, such as college admissions, graduate school applications, professional certifications, and English language proficiency.

If you’re planning to take an ETS test, they provide plenty of study resources, including sample questions, study guides, and online practice tools.

Hawkeye Community College is an official Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) testing center for PSI computerized testing.

Iowa Pesticide Applicator Testing is an exam that certifies you to safely apply pesticides and other chemicals, following local, state, and federal regulations. It’s required for anyone working in agriculture, pest control, landscaping, or any industry where pesticide use is involved.

Hawkeye's Testing Center provides Pesticide Applicator Testing, offered as a computer-based exam through Quia for the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS).

Call the Testing Center to schedule your exam.

Cost = $20

It’s just $20 per half-day of testing. You can take as many different exams as needed, though each exam can only be taken once.

Contact the Business Office to pay your exam fee. You can pay by cash, check (made out to Hawkeye), or card.

On the Day of Your Test

• Check-in: The Testing Center is on the second floor of the Hawkeye Center.
• Bring ID: A valid, government-issued photo ID is required to take the exam. Acceptable IDs include a driver’s license, passport, or immigration green card. If you take a break between exams, you’ll need to show your ID again before continuing.
• Payment Receipt: Bring your receipt for the testing fee.
• What’s Provided: Hawkeye will provide everything you need for the exam, except for your Quia username/password.

Your photo ID is the only personal item allowed in the testing room. Any other items discovered during testing will result in your exam being ended, and the situation will be reported to the Pesticide Bureau.

You can store personal items in lockers, but it’s best to leave valuables at home or in your car. Hawkeye and the Pesticide Bureau are not responsible for any lost or damaged property.
