Our mission is to provide you with supportive health, education, and counseling services to promote your academic and personal success.
We can help with health care for minor illnesses, physical exams, prescriptions, immunizations, mental health assessment, counseling, and referral for students and their dependents.
We are also Hawkeye's resource center for COVID-19 providing testing, contact tracing, and patient care instructions.
Our staff includes an advanced registered nurse practitioner and a mental health counselor. We understand the diverse needs of college students and strive to assist you in meeting those needs.
Eligibility and Cost
All students registered at Hawkeye Community College and their dependent children may use Hawkeye Student Health Clinic services.
Health insurance is not required to receive care and services are no cost or minimal cost.
Scheduling an Appointment
Call to schedule an appointment with the Nurse Practitioner or Mental Health Counselor. Appointments are required.
When visiting the Student Health Clinic, please bring the following:
- Your Hawkeye Card student ID
- Your health insurance card if available

The Hawkeye Student Health Clinic will not provide notes to excuse students from class. You are responsible for notifying your instructor of any absence and making up any work/class missed.
