International Student Cost of Attendance
Hawkeye Community College is an excellent value and very affordable!
The chart below indicates the breakdown of the required funds you must show in order to have an I-20 issued to you by Hawkeye Community College. Please submit your bank statement with your other required materials for admission.
If you do not wish to have Hawkeye issue you an I-20 and hold your I-20 from another school, International Student tuition rates are $226.50 per credit hour (including fees).

* Tuition and fees are based on 12 credits per semester, 24 credits total. Additional credits will have additional costs.
** Books cost is based on 24 credits x $23 Box of Books program + $200 additional materials.
International students are required (as mandated by the F-1 visa status) to carry at least 12 credit hours per semester.
If you are planning to bring dependent(s) the cost total will be higher. Please contact us directly for that information.
You must show that the total listed above is available to you for I-20 issuance.
Financial Aid
International students holding an F-1 visa are not eligible for Federal financial aid.
Scholarships
International students can apply for Hawkeye Scholarships. While Hawkeye Community College does not have scholarships designated specifically for International students, you may be eligible for one of the many scholarships available.
