Hawkeye Shuttle

Ride the Shuttle—It’s Free!

Hawkeye offers a free shuttle for current students, faculty, and staff. The shuttle travels to:

  • Main Campus
  • Hawkeye Towers apartments
  • Van G. Miller Adult Learning Center
  • Crossroads shopping area
  • Other approved stops

To keep everyone safe and comfortable, please follow these rules when riding the Hawkeye Shuttle:

  • You must be a currently enrolled Hawkeye student, faculty, or staff to ride.
  • Be respectful and courteous to the driver and fellow riders.
  • Hawkeye prohibits smoking, alcohol, vaping, or chewing tobacco on board.
  • Service animals are welcome (emotional support animals are not recognized as service animals under Iowa law).
  • Only scheduled stops are allowed—unscheduled pick-ups or drop-offs aren’t permitted.
  • Since the shuttle is run by Hawkeye, your behavior is guided by the Student Handbook (or the Personnel Handbook if you’re an employee).

  • Seating is first-come, first-served, including space for necessary equipment and service animals for students with disabilities.
  • The shuttle will leave once it’s full or when there are no more visible passengers waiting.
  • Shuttle schedules are approximate and may change if needed.
  • The shuttle driver is in charge at all times and can address any issues while boarding, riding, or exiting. They may refuse service to anyone who doesn’t follow the rules or poses a safety risk.

The shuttle runs Monday – Friday 3 – 7 PM.

To request a ride, call 319-427-4824 and leave a message or email Rhonda McRina.

Shuttle use is a privilege—failure to follow the rules, unsafe behavior, or breaking the Student Code of Conduct could result in losing access.
