Transportation Options

No car? No problem—Hawkeye has you covered with free and affordable transportation options. You can ride the Hawkeye Shuttle for free if you’re a current student, faculty, or staff member, making it simple to travel between campus locations. Hawkeye is also served by the MET Transit Bus Service, giving you another convenient and affordable way to get to and from campus. Together, these options help you stay connected without the stress of driving.

Metropolitan Transit Authority (Met Transit) provides bus service to and from Hawkeye. Route 10 HCC (Gold) bus stops are located in front of Black Hawk Hall (HCC front) and at the Library (HCC back).

Cost

  • $0.75 one-way (with valid student ID)
  • $1.50 one-way without valid student ID
  • $50 30-day pass for unlimited rides on fixed-route services for 30 days from the first use. Passes can be purchased from the drivers or at the Met Transit Office.

Riders must have exact change or 30-day pass ready when boarding.

Hawkeye makes it easy to get around with a free shuttle for current students, faculty, and staff. The shuttle runs between Main Campus, Hawkeye Towers apartments, the Van G. Miller Adult Learning Center, the Crossroads shopping area—so you can travel where you need without the hassle.
