Login to Your Hawkeye Email

Hawkeye uses a web-based Microsoft Outlook program allowing you access to your email from anywhere on and off campus.

All students have a Hawkeye email account. This account is created upon acceptance into your program. Please allow one working day after your acceptance for your account to be created.

 Hawkeye sends important college information including your grades, attendance, financial aid, and graduation information by email only. Please check your Hawkeye email often, preferably daily.

Spam Filter

Hawkeye does not agree to deliver all emails addressed to its users.

All inbound emails for staff and student email accounts are subject to filtering. The goal of filtering is to prevent the distribution of spam, including pornographic and non-pornographic mass mailings.

Filtering is performed with a system automatically set up with rules to detect spam. It is possible emails sent to a Hawkeye email address may be filtered, even if they aren't considered spam if they come from a mail server to known to be used by spammers.

 Synchronizing Your Email to Your Smartphone Device

Synchronizing your Hawkeye email to your smartphone is a convenient way to check your Hawkeye email frequently—ensuring that you receive the important college information you need.

iOS phones: Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account > Microsoft Exchange

Android phones: Settings > Accounts & Sync > Add Account > Exchange ActiveSync

Windows phones: Settings > Email+ Accounts > Exchange

Note: Remember to change the password on your devices if you change the password for your Hawkeye account.
SSL Make sure “this server requires an encrypted SSL connection” is checked.
Ports Leave any port information blank.

For LG phones: domain/username come together. Write only the domain.

 Due to the diversity of brands and configurations, Hawkeye Community College cannot know all the potential issues that could occur. Please contact your smartphone provider for help or support issues.

 Forwarding Your Hawkeye Email to a Personal Email Account

If you forward your email, Hawkeye will not be able to track these emails and will not be responsible once the email has been sent beyond our system.

  1. Login to your Hawkeye email.

  2. Click on the Options button (located at the top right of the screen) and select "Create an Inbox Rule..."

  3. Under Inbox Rules, click on the "New..." button.

  4. Click "More Options..."

  5. Select an option in the "When the message arrives, and:" dropdown.

  6. Select an option in the "Do the following:" dropdown.

  7. Name the rule.

  8. Save the rule.
