Student American Dental Assistant Association (SADAA)

Student American Dental Assistant Association (SADAA) is a student club for Dental Assisting program students to become oriented to the dental assisting profession and professional community.

Members of SADAA participate in the Iowa Dental Assistants' Association Annual Session and the Waterloo District Dental Society each spring.

Collaborations have occurred with the Respiratory Care Club and Student American Dental Hygienists Association (SADHA).

Service projects have been making cards and May Day Baskets for nursing and rehabilitation homes.

SADAA participated in making care and hygiene kits for House of Hope as well as partnering with SADHA on making oral hygiene care packages. The club is currently working on designing t-shirts, preparing for research projects/presentations, and will be collaborating with the SADHA club again on a dental community research night. The club is also planning to visit the Hawkeye Child Care Center for Children's Dental Health month.
