Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Allies (LGBTA) Club
"The tree drawing expresses a meditation on growth and branching out to change."
—Leslie Fink, Hawkeye alumni (2011–2014)
The purpose of Hawkeye’s LGBTA Club is to:
Serve as a resource for education about the lives and experiences of those identifying with any gender or sexual orientation.
Sponsor events and activities that encourage open, frank, and respectful discussion by all members of the college community.
Promote the values of diversity, inclusion, and equality.
Also see LGBTA Initiatives.
The LGBTA Club meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month in Library 211. Every month with a 5th Wednesday is a potluck day in the same meeting room.
