Hawkeye Gamers Club

Hawkeye Gamers Club is a social club for students who enjoy playing games. The club provides an opportunity for students with a common interest in games to gather and have fun.

Members play a wide range of games including console games, PC games, board games, card games, and RPG Tabletop games. The exact games played at our events varies based on attendance.

Monthly 24-Hour LAN Party

We host a monthly event, also known as a LAN party, about once a month during the school year. These events typically start around 3:00pm on Friday and end around 3:00pm on Saturday. Yes, we are here overnight. A quiet room for overnight is provided.

This is a bring your own computer/console event. The club has a few TVs for consoles, ethernet cables, switches, and internet access for these events. All other items should be brought by attendees.

The cost is $7 at the door of each event.

A Facebook event is created for each event.

Board Game Nights

Come, gather, and play board and card games with other students.

Board Game Nights will be held monthly on Fridays from 3:00pm–12:00am. The games played vary depending on what games participants have brought along to play.

Check our Facebook group for the next Board Game Night

Annual 48-Hour LAN Party

In May, the club hosts a 48-hour LAN Party. The fees gathered from other LAN parties throughout the year are used to buy prizes for our big LAN party. Typically, we give away about $1,100 worth of prizes at our 48-hour LAN party.

The cost of this event is to be determined, but will be more than the monthly events.

Membership is free and open to all Hawkeye Community College students.

As members, we would like to see you help out during each event. This could be anything from sitting at the registration table for the event, helping set up or taking the event down.

Want to be a member? Fill out the interest survey below so we can contact you to keep you informed on meeting times and events.
