Heavy Equipment Operator Training
Four-Day Heavy Equipment Operator Training
Our four-day, equipment operator training classes for skid steers, front end-loaders, and backhoes will provide you with a solid foundation in safety standards, preventative maintenance, basic terminology, pre- and post-operation inspections, and proper operation so you can expand the number of pieces of equipment you can operate on the jobsite.
Each session combines classroom and hands-on training using the National Center of Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Curriculum.
Training topics for each session includes:
- Safety
- Configuration and component identification
- Controls familiarization
- Start-up, warm-up and shut-down procedures
- Basic maneuvers
- Preventative maintenance
- Digging and loading techniques
- Loading and securing for transport

Admission Requirements
No admission requirements or entrance exam needed.
Certification
Students must pass a written exam and equipment field operations in order to receive NCCER credentials. Additionally, students must register in the NCCER system to obtain their NCCER credentials.
