WE Build Waterloo Building Trades Pre-Apprenticeship

The WE Build Waterloo Building Trades Pre-Apprenticeship program is designed to create interest in a variety of construction trades and career paths into these occupations.

Participants will be introduced to thirteen different construction trades, learn introductory skills, have access to employers, and will set themselves on a course for family sustaining wages and benefits.

The course is certified by the National Center for Construction Education and Research
(NCCER) which is a national recognized provider of construction trades curriculum, assessments, and safety conscious programming.

Participants will also engage in a 12-week housing rehabilitation cohort to develop on the job skills and experience.

Who Should Enroll

This program is designed for individuals who want to explore the construction trades.

Admission Requirements

No admission requirements. Participants will have access to High School Completion or English Language Learning courses if needed.

Class Schedule

Application deadline: Friday, February 4, 2022
Orientation: February 16–17, 2022 from 7:30am–12:30pm
12-Week Session: February 21 – May 13, 2022, Monday–Friday from 7:30am–12:30pm
