Hawkeye Earns The Best Place for Working Parents® Designation

Recognition Earned for the Fourth Consecutive Year

Hawkeye Community College has once again been recognized as a Best Place for Working Parents®, marking the fourth consecutive year the college has earned the national designation.

Launched in Fort Worth in 2020, the Best Place for Working Parents® program uses a confidential, online self-assessment to evaluate employer policies that support working parents. Open to organizations of all sizes, the assessment highlights the top 10 research-backed, family-friendly policies proven to benefit both employees and an organization's bottom line—especially during times of rapid workplace change.

The Best Place for Working Parents® assessment provides participating organizations with a real-time dashboard, allowing them to compare their performance with similar employers in their region and industry. Each of the 10 policy areas includes research on return on investment, along with case studies illustrating how family-friendly practices improve productivity, retention, job satisfaction, and talent attraction.
