IGNITE: Introduction to Advanced Manufacturing
IGNITE: Introduction to Advanced Manufacturing is a seven-week, competency-based program that will introduce you to fundamental technical concepts and provide you with hands-on training to develop industry-relevant skills. You’ll learn about smart automation, robotic programming, CNC programming, computer aided design (CAD), electrical circuits, pneumatics, manufacturing safety, basic math, and much more.
This new program is part of a series of stackable certificates developed by subject matter experts with guidance from industry leaders. Upon successful completion you will earn nine advanced manufacturing industry recognized credentials
Starting Wages and Employment
Program completers will earn an opportunity to apply for one of ten full-time positions with a Cedar Valley manufacturer that offers a starting wage over $19 per hour, plus benefits.
Program Cost and Eligibility - This Session is FULL
There is no cost to the student. The tuition is sponsored by a Cedar Valley Fortune 500 manufacturer.
Capacity is limited to 10 students. Entry into the program is competitive.
To be considered the applicant must be:
- a Cedar Valley resident
- 18 years of age
- a high school graduate or equivalent
- willing to attend evening orientation and class sessions
- ready for a fast-paced career in advanced manufacturing
Orientation: April 5–8 from 5:30pm–8:30pm
Class dates: April 12–May 28, Monday–Friday from 5:30pm–7:30pm
