Charles H Dalton Jr. Scholarship
The Charles H Dalton Jr. Scholarship is open to high school students entering Hawkeye Community College immediately after graduating from Waterloo Public Schools and pursuing a degree or diploma from one of the industrial and engineering technology programs at Hawkeye. This scholarship is awarded based on the recommendation or nomination of students by high school teachers and staff.
There will be two $2,500 scholarship recipients selected annually. Recipients will receive $1,250 for the fall semester and $1,250 for the spring semester if they continue to meet scholarship eligibility requirements.
Eligibility Criteria
The nominated student must:
- Enroll at Hawkeye Community College directly upon graduation from a Waterloo Public School.
- Be pursuing a degree or diploma from one of the industrial and engineering technology programs at Hawkeye Community College.
- Demonstrate moderate financial need.
- Have a minimum high school grade point average of 2.5. Preference is given to students with high school grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Preference will be given to females and racial and ethnic minority student populations.
